H.C. Andersen Ballet

All through his life Hans Christian Andersen ( 1805-75) was fascinated by the imaginative world of ballet. The figures in this mobile are reproduced from paper cuttings made by the poet himself in 1867. The ballerinas are dancing around a red mandarin..
