BIG CAT YOUTH COLLECTION
WHO ARE WE
Drew Goldie and Sebastian Byrnes, are 16 year old students from Camps Bay High School & Big Cat Youth Ambassadors. They have been actively been involved in campaigning and fundraising for big cats since 2016. The BIG CAT YOUTH COLLECTION #ForTheLoveofLions was created especially for them to raise money for big cat sanctuaries. They hope that as these big cats find their new homes all over the world they “raise awareness for the plight of big cats in captivity in South Africa & worldwide”.

This incredibly unique range of beautifully handmade lions, lionesses & tigers is made with love & gratitude by the Raising Rhino People Project – a skills, employment & awareness programme working with local & rural communities. A work opportunity has been created through this project. With their fundraising Drew and Sebastian currently support 4 ethical big cat sanctuaries in South Africa. These are Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary (Limpopo), Drakenstein Lion Park (Paarl), Panthera Africa (Stanford) and Ubuntu Wildlife Sanctuary, South Africa.
INITIATIVE
Through the sale of these and as each big cat finds it’s way across the world to their new home – we are hoping they will help to raise awareness for the plight of all big cats in captivity in South Africa and Worldwide. Each big cat is sent out with a CAMPAIGN AGAINST CANNED HUNTING brochure.
Since launching in November 2018,we have had a phenomenal response to BIG CAT YOUTH COLLECTION. A pride of 10 handmade big cats are launched each month on Facebook and people can ‘adopt’ them. So far over 150 big cats have found their way all over the world. Each handmade big cat is numbered and one-of-a-kind. We pride ourselves on this unique quality.
