Autumn tales

Pumpkins and Lantern walks

I like when September’s  gone and October just began.

Memories told best by writings of my son.

“I remember the lantern walks and pumpkins lit from within

some big , some small

of ghosts and monsters

with scary faces  and crooked smiles

flickering like fire flies

They  spread across like headless warriors

and autumn leaves like rustic armors

I was a moose, and then a knight

knocking on doors

for a trick, a  treat or a fright.
